The Lùth Box & Cutter is a non-conductive recessed wall bracket solution for Australia’s electrical and construction industries offering an unrivalled product when it comes to safety, speed and accuracy.

Developed by an electrician for the building industry

The Lùth Box & Cutter has been developed by Queensland-based electrician and business owner, James Simpson, after immigrating to Australia from Scotland with his young family in 2012.

Not long after arriving ‘Down Under,’ James identified a number of flaws and potential hazards with the metal brackets and so set about filling a void in the local market for a recessed wall box, that was a far better and more importantly, a safer alternative to what was available.

The end result is a non-conductive, recessed wall bracket solution that is not only 100% safe offering full mechanical protection, it’s also easy and quick to install.

The Lùth Box & Cutter is a much-needed electrical component and vital addition to Australia’s residential, commercial and industrial construction sectors.

The Lùth Cutter provides pinpoint accuracy every time, meaning no more wasted time or money fixing measuring and cutting mistakes.

Installation – Safe. Fast. Accurate.

Step 1

Level the box then mark along the top edge.

Step 2

Use the Luth box cutter to remove wall sheet.

Step 3

Remove desired knockout(s) with pliers then bring cables through.

Step 4

Insert into wall cavity then fully rotate both wings clockwise.

Step 5

Connect the plate then tighten screws.

Step 5a

The wings inside the box will move towards wall sheet until tight, meaning that they are secured.

Step 6

Once secured fit grid to plate.
